Designed to help encourage readers to explore the world of tasting (for an introduction read more about tasting here) and to help them find the products that will become their favourites, tasting.com is for everyone that is interested in origin, varietal, responsible production and processing, proper storage, and appreciating the taste of small batch product.
We are launching with a focus on four food and drink categories chocolate, coffee, tea and whisky, and once we are established we will expand based on the feedback we receive.
While we don’t want to be either too purist, or elitist, we will begin with an emphasis on :
single origin dark chocolate bars
freshly roasted whole bean coffee - or even home roasting so that means green beans - with a stated roasting date
tea that some describe as ’speciality tea’ (from premium Fuso tea bags right up to Silver Tip White Teas - and later beyond)
whiskies predominantly from Scotland - both single malt, single cask and small batch blended Scotch whisky
